India batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar once again suffered by nervous-nineties and fell six runs short of his much-awaiting 100th international ton during the fourth day of third and final Test at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Friday.
Confident Tendulkar, recommencing the innings at overnight score of 66, continued to dominate over West Indies bowlers in the early overs of penultimate day and entertained the full-housed crowed with some sparkling strokes.
But the over-confidence proved costly for Tendulkar and he tried to play cut short off Ravi Rampaul’s short of length delivery but the ball just kissed the upper part of his bat and secured into the hands of Caribbean skipper Darren Sammy at second slip.
