South Africa vice-captain AB de Villers has been declared fit for the first Test against the Australia in at Newlands, starting next week.
The 27-year-old stylish batsman had gone out of action for five weeks after fracturing his middle finger of his left hand during Champions League T20 in India in September, in which he represented Royal Challengers Bangalore.
He missed the recently concluded T20 and one-day series against Aussies which was his first assignment since he was appointed the successor of Graeme Smith for limited-overs in June. Hashim Amla, his deputy led the side in his absence.
