Though several Australian ex-cricketers are persistently suggesting aging Ricky Ponting to hang up his boots but the former skipper has rebuff the advises saying “he has no thoughts of retiring yet.”
The 36-year-old Tasmanian batsman, who made his debut for Australia in 1995, averaged just 20 in the past year and failed to advanced into three figures in Tests since January last year.
“Of course I want to keep playing. I really enjoy it and always have,” Ponting said while speaking to media reporters at Sydney Airport on Wednesday.
