Karnataka medium pacer Abhimanyu Mithun has replaced injured Praveen Kumar in India squad for the first three one-day internationals against West Indies.
According to a press release issued by BCCI Praveen has got a blunt chest on the left side, and has therefore been ruled out of the first matches.
Earlier stand in captain Virender Sehwag had said that Praveen had niggle and expected to be fit for the second encounter.
“Praveen Kumar has a niggle so he is not available for first ODI,” Sehwag said. “We expect him to join the squad tomorrow and be fit for the second match.”
