Veteran India batsman Rahul Dravid became only the second batsman in Test cricket to score 13,000 runs after compatriot Sachin Tendulkar, who is topping the list with over 15000 runs.
Dravid accomplished the milestone during the third day of third and final Test against West Indies at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday when he lofted a lovely cover drive off Caribbean skipper Darren Sammy for a boundary to make his score 21.
The 38-year-old batted comfortably for about one and half sessions and was on course to complete his 37th Test ton but part-time spinner Marlon Samuels plunked his stumps for 82 shortly before the tea. His 149-ball knock was studded with 11 boundaries.
