The Anaheim Ducks’ coach Randy Carlyle has been fired and replaced by former Washington Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau after Wednesday’s 4-1 victory against the Montreal Canadiens at the Honda Center.
The Executive Vice President and General Manager Bob Murray said that Randy was an enormous head coach and did a wonderful job for six-plus seasons and replacing him was proven a tough decision.
“This was an extremely difficult decision,” Murray said. “At this time, we simply felt a new voice was needed. Bruce is a proven winner with a great track record, and we are optimistic we can turn this season around under his leadership.”
