The French football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football, which consists of two professional national divisions, Ligue 1 and Ligue 2.
French football Ligue 1 is one of two divisions making up the Ligue de Football Professional; it has been formerly known as Division 1 and sometimes referred to as Le Championnat. There are 20 clubs in League 1. French football Ligue 1 was inducted on 11 September 1932 and became popular due to good planning of matches, complete and consistently obligatory rules and timely resolution of issues. The league has faced three substantial bribery outrages in 1933, 1950s, and in 1993 but has conserved its standing with properly unembellished punishment of the mortified parties.
