The 26-year-old New South Wales batsman plundered 59 off 42 deliveries slamming four sixes and three boundaries but slothful batting display from middle order batsmen restricted their innings to 152-6, in pursue of 163-run target.
Earlier riding on the sparkling knocks from Marcus North (40) and Hershelle Gibbs (38) after opting to bat, the hosts had posted a whopping total of 162-8.
Heat were needed 21 in the last over bowled by Nathan Rimmington with Michael Neser (6) and Chris Hartley (5) present in on crease. However the pair could manage five runs of first five deliveries before Neser slammed a hefty blow into the stands off last delivery.
