Everton notch win at West Brom

Everton substitute Victor Anichebe scored his first English Premier League goal of the season as the Toffees earned their fourth away win of the campaign, beating West Brom at the Hawthorns to leapfrog Albion in the table.

Anichebe struck with three minutes remaining after Albion had failed to clear a cross from Tony Hibbert to give his side 1-0 victory. West Brom manager Roy Hodgson looked very disappointed after his side lost the game.

“I’m very disappointed we couldn’t continue what has been a very good run in the last three games and continue playing the same level of football. Hodgson said.

“Today we’ve given three very big points to our rivals. They did well enough to deserve a draw but must be feeling very grateful that we gifted them a goal three minutes from time.”
