Deco signed a 2-year contract with Brazilian club Fluminense in August 2010. He showed excellent performance in Fluminense’s 4-0 victory over Figueirense four days ago. The vice-president of club, Sandro Lima said that they were interested to extend the contract due to recent form of 34-years-old, who expressed his desire to stay with Fluminense.
“I am always happy to talk about Deco. I saw his suffering this season because of the injuries, but I was delighted on Sunday, we went out to talk after the Figueirense game.” He said.
