Three goals from Soldado, two from Jonas led Valencia to register a record-breaking victory. Pablo Hernandez and Aritz Aduriz also scored one goal each. Genk have never won in five European games against Spanish sides.
Valencia got dominance in the 10th minute as Jonas fierce cross was headed out by Nadson for a corner and doubled their lead just three minutes later, Jonas provided a set-up for Soldado, who didn’t waste any time and grabbed his first goal of the night.
