Desperate horde turned up at Canterbury to create a top-quality stratosphere for Monday’s lad’s tennis semi state. No. 3 North Central was turned up more strongly and impressively than Cavaliers who currently hold second position. Cavalier’s unbeaten run was stopped by the Panthers who won 5-0 to earn a tour to the state finals.
Canterbury had first time played host to an IHSAA semi state tournament of any sport. On the contrary north central was playing a postseason tennis match after almost two decades in a court other than their own courts. North Central (16-2) is scheduled to take on Penn (17-4) on Friday in the state quarterfinals. This high profile match will be played at Lawrence Central High School.
