Argentine and Manchester City striker Sergio Agüero said that he is a big fan of English footballer Michael Owen, who plays as a striker for Manchester United. The 23-years-old revealed that he started watching the Premier League only because of Michael Owen.
“I watched the Premier League on television,” he said. “I loved Michael Owen. I always followed him at Liverpool. That’s why I started watching the Premier League.”
Agüero spent mostly time of his career with La Liga club Atletico Madrid. The Argentina striker joined Atletico Madrid in 2006 at the worth of €23m from. He made a name with his performances by scoring 101 goals in 234 appearances and attracted the attention from Europe’s top clubs. Agüero moved to Premier League club Manchester City in July 2011 for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of £35m.
