Dravid (82) and Tendulkar (66 not out) developed 86-run third-wicket stand to bolster foundations in scamper towards West Indies’ formidable 590-run first innings lead after
Gambhir (55) and Virender Sehwag (37) established 6 a firm 67-run opening stand.
Tendulkar later added unconquered 57 runs along with VVS Laxman for fourth wicket as the play was called off four overs early because of bad light. The hosts are still in arrears of 309 runs.
