Chittagong Test: Sunny puts West Indies in spin

Mohammad Elias Sunny picked up four wickets on debut as Bangladesh claimed upper-hand over West Indies on the fourth day of the rain-effected first test in Chittagong on Monday.

The left-arm spinner grabbed 4-56 as the tourists reached 144-5 in their first innings at stumps in response to Bangladesh’s total of 350-9 declared.

After the cheap dismissal of opener Lendl Simmons, who granted a comfortable catch to Rubel Hasan at long-off to hand Shahadat Hossain the early breakthrough, Sunny removed Kirk Edwards in the afternoon while Darren Bravo, Kraigg Brathwaite and Shivnarain Chanderpaul in the last session.
