Everton 2-1 West Bromwich

Everton moved to the fourth round of the League Cup after beating West Brom 2-1 in extra time at Goodison Park.

Chris Brunt put West Brom ahead in on the 56th minute, however, an 89th minute strike from Belgian Marouane Fellaini took the game to extra time. Neville scored the Winner in 104 minute.

West Brom began the game aggressively and created many scoring chances in the first half, however they failed to open the scoreboard in this session.

West Brom missed its first decent chance to open the scoring in the 18 minute when Somen Tchoyi fired over the crossbar from close-range.

Roy Hodgson’s men lost their second chance just eight minutes later through Peter Odemwengie, who fired wide with the goal.

After missing some decent chances in the first session, West Brom finally broke the deadlock after nine minutes of restart when Brunt scored the first goal of game on penalty kick.
