
Swedish sports star Sven Tumba has been died at the age 80 overnight at a hospital in Stockholm after an illness.
Tumba played for the national soccer side; he also joined an NHL training camp, however never signed a contract with any National Hockey League team and became a Swedish hockey champion. He later also became a serious golfer.
Sven played five games for the national soccer team in 1954, five years later; he helped lead Djurgarden to the Swedish soccer championship.
