FC Dallas beat the Chicago Fire on Wednesday night to settle their second straight postseason berth.
Jackson and Daniel Cruz scored in front of 10,362 visitors at Toyota Park to give Dallas 2-1 victory, which snapped their four-game losing streak.
Dallas began the game aggressively and created their first chance of scoring in the third minute when Marvin Chávez collected a ball on the right edge of the box, striking a low cross to Jackson, who sent a one-touch effort just wide of the left post.
