Richard Levi has failed in the previous two games and with the other end also insecure Mumbai will need to find a suitable man to open the innings. The middle order looks in good hands with Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, Dinesh Karthik and James Franklin marshalling it and Kieron Pollard looks to have filled in the all rounder spot rather perfectly at No.7.
Mumbai's bowling has been in superb form in this tournament so far with Lasith Malinga, Harbhajan Singh, Pragyan Ojha and Munaf Patel looking in top form. Although Ojha had an expensive outing against his home franchisee Deccan Chargers the other night, Mumbai will look to continue with the same combination this time around too. All in all, a couple of small batting worries aside, they look a well set unit.

The Royals have yet again proved to be the surprise package with plenty of their players chipping in with handy performances in every game making them a hard unit to dominate. One between Rahul Dravid and Ajinkya Rahane have been amongst the runs at the top and with young Ashok Menaria showing some form too, the batting is in good shape with the experienced and in form overseas duo of Brad Hodge and Owais Shah there to soak up the pressure. Rookie All-rounder Kevon Cooper has been a terrific acquisition for the Royals given his explosive batting ability to go with his moments of brilliance in the field and with the ball.
The bowling of the Royals has always been immensely under-rated but has pulled together well as a unit and been very effective in these conditions. Medium pacers Amit Singh and Siddharth Trivedi have all but mastered the art of change of pace which has proven decisive at many stages in the previous games and with experience and guile of seasoned campaigner Johan Botha this unit looks a well-knit one and a hard one to get on top of.
