Cummins called up to Australia squad

Fast bowler Patrick Cummins is likely to become the second-youngest Test player in Australia cricket history after being named in a 15-man squad for tour South Africa.

The 18-year-old New South Wales pacer replaced fellow youngster, Victorian James Pattinson, from the squad which toured Sri Lanka in August and September.

Explaining the philosophy behind Pattinson omission, Chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch stated that it was unlucky for the young pacer to miss out on the selection, and has performed well for his limited appearance on the international circle.
