The sparkling half-tons of Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina helped India to script comprehensive six-wicket victory over England in the fourth one-day international at Wankhede Stadium of Mumbai on Sunday.
Kohli (86 not out) and Suresh Raina (80) developed 131-run fourth wicket stand after the cheap dismissal of top-order as India surpassed the 220-run target with more then nine overs to spare to claim insuperable 4-0 lead in five-match series.
Steven Finn had plunked the stumps of opener Parthiv Patel (8) and one-down Gautam Gambhir (1) before debutant Stuart Meaker edged Ajinkya Rahane to wicketkeeper Craig Kieswetter for 20 to leave hosts 46-3.
The back-to-back dismissals had jolted the Indian batting-line but Gambhir and Raina lead hosts into a stalwart position with their sagacious batting display.
