Kamran and Wahab likely to face ICC investigations

Following the prosecutions of Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir for spot-fixing, the International Cricket Council (ICC) could investigate more Pakistani players primly wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal and Wahab Riaz, a British newspaper claimed on Tuesday.

On Tuesday trio, Butt, Asif and Amir were found guilty of conspiracy to cheat and accepting corrupt payments during the last year’s England tour, when they conspired with agent Mazhar Majeed, and other people unknown to bowl pre-planned no-balls as a part of money-spinning gambling scam.

Both Kamran and Wahab were mentioned several times during the hearing of cricket’s biggest controversy in Southwark Crown Court of London, linked to scams managed by Majeed, who, while talking to secret journalist containing hidden camera, claimed that he had seven members of the team in on his fixes. Butt, Amir, Asif, Akmal brothers (Umar and Kamran),Wahab and Imran Farhat.
