Two former Pakistan cricketers, serving jail sentences in Britain after founding guilty in spot-fixing, have asked to return their home country to complete remainder of their prison terms.
Former skipper Salman Butt and paceman Mohammad Asif have told their lawyers that they will prefer to be sent behind the bars in Pakistan as the ultra-attention from the fellow inmates is leading to panics of their security. In this regard an application is expected to be submitted to High Court within next two months.
The request came after they were shifted from Wandsworth Prison in south London to Canterbury Prison in Kent earlier this week which is specialized for holding the foreigner offenders, convicted in Britain.
