Arsenal vs Shrewsbury 3-1

Arsenal beat Shrewsbury 3-1 to move the next round of Carling Cup thanks to the goals from Kiran Gibbs, Alex Chamberlain and Yossi Benayoun.

The Gunners began the game aggressively and produced early chances of scoring. Thair first chance came into the game just in five minute when  Marouane Chamakh connected with a far post header from Kieran Gibbs’ cross but Shrewsbury keeper Ben Smith produced an outstanding save to deny the striker. In the next minute Smith blocked a side-footed effort from Chamakh.

James Collins put Shrewsbury ahead in the 16 minute but Gunners leveled the game after three minutes of half hour mark through Gibbs. Chamberlian give Arsenal dominance in the 58 minute and Yossi sealed the victory in 78 minute.
