Napoli settled second place in the Group A of Champions League by getting a welcome 2-0 victory against Villarreal on Tueday night at Stadio San Paolo with the help of early strikes from Marek Hamsik and Edinson Cavani.
Villarreal had first chance to open the scoring in the eighth minute through Ruben Cani but the Spaniard’s rising 20-yard shot cleared the bar above opponent keeper Morgan De Sanctis.
