The International Cricket Council (ICC) has rejected the suggestion of giving free hits on wide-balls. General Manager Cricket David Richardson says that it will not benefit. He said that power plays are introduced just to discourage single and doubles. When the batsmen will play big hits then chance of becoming out will increase, Richardson added.
